Are you caught up in the 21st century paradox that's unfolding in the profession of nursing?
It’s the pull between knowing that you make a difference and the struggle to sustain your drive amidst changing roles and emerging work environments.
I know you work hard, earned the credentials, and done everything possible to uphold your professional responsibility. But the gap between rampant career twists and what you want is only getting wider.
When fulfillment begins to diminish and dissatisfaction creeps in, you know it’s high time to uncover what will allow you to work smarter, not harder.
For 3 decades, nursing has been at the center of my career. I’ve shouldered the weight of a dozen expanding roles and done my share of navigating the varied terrain.
I know what it is to over commit, over deliver and wind up with nothing left for myself or my family. And I came away with insights into how to untie the knots that kept me entangled and overshadowed by professional striving, comparison and competition.
In 2017 I noticed emerging conversational patterns among nursing colleagues. Professional stress was an ever present topic and clinician well-being was an evolving concern. As the need has intensified, a powerful focus called me to step into the open.
I believe that your calling and compassion should not drain you of a wide awake, joyful life. And, I am ready to partner with you to co-create true professional freedom.
“I’ve had such movement in the few months we’ve been together. I personally have been highly impacted by Susan’s ability to help me clarify what is going on in my world, get down to what is really important and assist me in carving steps to get to where I want to go. If anyone is curious to use Susan I encourage them, just have one consultation and you will be hooked!”

I created my company, Nurse Unbound, to help nurses like you avoid burn out and feel good about their career again.
Me? I have the good fortune to live close to the culture of a major metropolitan city and also one of the most biologically diverse regions of the world. My husband and I, along with our precocious canine fur baby, call the Indiana Dunes home.
I divide my time between partnering with clients, building a relevant business, restoring our family’s generational homestead, biking, gardening, reading mysteries, and soaking up the region’s natural surroundings.
I thrive in the energy of nature, especially water. Five years ago, what started as a staycation, turned into … multiple lessons, finding a boat, and now exploring the waters of Lake Michigan under sail power.
